It was true, she couldn’t do any of the things those around her did naturally. Many might find this demoralizing. They might figure they had no business among them. They might think the miracle of it wasn’t something that would touch them as it did those with natural affinity.


Many might, but not Nariko Galli.


Instead, she searched, probed into the hows and whys and possibilities of the things she saw these others doing. In the end, she learned how to spark this talent in herself. She made a science of what had been a mystical art. Because of her curiosity, because of her refusal to be turned away, she changed the world.
