I joined in on a webinar yesterday evening called Your First 10,000 Readers given by Nick Stephenson and Joel Friedlander. Now, I’m not completely a noob on the marketing/branding theories. I understand the knowledge that you need an email capture to lead to a thing that leads to a thing that leads to sales. This will be my fourth attempt to implement something like this… I always get overwhelmed somewhere along the way and abandon the process…
I got a handy template download from this webinar that has taken away any thought from the first steps so I have no reason to second guess myself. Yay for small miracles 🙂
This morning, I’ve managed to create some pages and forms that seem like they’ll actually work. Now, to work on some graphics to add to the mix and I may actually be ready to get this show off the road. Off the road? On the road? Either way- I’m much closer than I’d thought I’d be on day 2 to launching my new author page!
I’ll be giving away the first chapter of my upcoming novel to start. I’ve also decided to create some art based on the book and maybe even a dossier on the main character (it’s relevant, I promise 😉 ) as free downloads.
